Why it works for templates
Templates are bought by people who have already decided. They saw the output, they want the shortcut, and they are looking for the file rather than for an argument. That makes them one of the few digital products where the link genuinely is the storefront — a browse-and-compare experience adds nothing to a decision that was already made.
The work is therefore in reducing friction rather than in selling. Say which application and version the file needs, because a template that will not open is the most common reason for a refund request on this kind of product. Include a short usage guide for the same reason: support time is what erodes the margin on anything priced under £20. A single template at a low price works as an entry point, with the full pack as the obvious upgrade.
It will not sell if nobody has seen the output. Templates spread through examples of the result, so the marketing is whatever you already published using it.

£25
Templates + walkthrough
What these sell for: £9 for one template, £18–£25 for a pack. Documentation and a walkthrough are what separate the two.
On a sale our 10% fee covers card processing, and the buyer pays a 10% privacy & security fee on top — so a £18 price pays you £16.20. See the full split.

Templates questions
Do buyers need the same software as me?
They need whatever opens the file. Say which app and version in the description, because a template that will not open is the most common refund request for this kind of product.
Can I sell one template and a whole pack?
Yes. A single template at a low price is a good entry point, with the full pack as the natural upgrade.
Should I include documentation?
Yes. A short usage guide reduces support questions, which matters more than usual on a product priced under £20.
What are digital templates to sell?
A digital template is a reusable file a buyer edits for their own use: a social post layout, a pitch deck, a CV, a Notion workspace or a spreadsheet. The sellable version is specific to one audience and one job, includes instructions, and is delivered as an editable file. Generic packs compete with free; a pack for a named buyer does not.
Can I sell templates online?
Yes. Upload the template files, write the listing around the outcome, set a price and share a paid link. You can sell on your own link or a marketplace; the link keeps the customer, a marketplace brings discovery. The main work is making the template survive a stranger's edits and documenting how to use it.
